This year it’s all about bag charms! Just let your creative spirit work … hand craft, jingle, glitter and most of all fun accesories will dress your bag in new image

Now Chloé has a fresh look: It flares from the shoulder, stops above the knee, and swings leggily along on great chunky platforms. White dresses, derived from looking at sixties ruffled shirts, were intricately worked in crunchy embroidery, organza appliqués, and frills. Immaculate as confirmation outfits, they breezed airily through the trends: a baroque pattern on a smock; table-linen cutwork curlicues on a ruffled-shoulder A-line dress. To counterpoint that, Philo introduced a new structure for her tailoring, cutting neatly fitted, pressed-linen sixties coats, and stiff little cropped jackets.

Girl: You were a “BravoGirl!†face once, now you’re a Moschino face. How did you do that?
Anna: I was a loyal “Girl!†reader and I sent a coupon for a model comtest one day (“Stylish Girlsâ€?). I was thinking it would be nice… After a few months I received an invitation for a casting. I went there and I did it. I won.
Girl: Was that so simple? Just one casting?
Anna: I was lucky. After 2 months I went to Japan, after that to Milan an N.Y. I had a lot of work, castings. But, finally, Donna Karan and Marc Jacobs saw me. And I’ve recently done a campaign for Moschino Cheap& Chic.
Girl: Most of things are changed. But what about your school?
Anna: I come back to Poland to pass my exams. I have an individual education. Now I’m learning biology…
Girl: What are you doing in your free time?
Anna: I love reading- especially Paulo Coelho. I’m also listening to music (David Bowie and Coldplay have amazed me lately)
Girl: Do you have a boyfriend?
Anna: No (laughter). I’m alone.
Girl: Some friends?
Anna: Yes, only one. She’s my really close friend. We were doing everything together. Now we often call each other. She adores to look at my pictures and she would like to listen stories about fashio shows for all the time.
Girl: Do you specially care about yourself?
Anna: I go to the gym three times a week. Besides that I run and swim.
Girl: What about diets? Do you count calories?
Anna: ha, ha… I have my first meal about 12 o’clock, in the lunch time. When I’m home, I eat everything what my mum cooks.
Girl: Do you use a lot of cosmetics?
Anna: Every day I use a cream and thermal water.
Girl: Do you like yourself?
Anna: You know, modeling treats your complexes. I don’t care a lot about my look and clothes. But sometimes I have days when it’s really hard to look in a mirror…
Girl: And in front of the lens?
Anna: There’s always strage fright and a lot of adrenaline. I remember DKNY show where I was the second model and I also closed the show with too big shoes. IT was so stressful! But I did it, cotton wool and ribbon helped me. Sometimes I have to work 15 hours a day.
Girl: Do you have your favourite model?
Anna: Yes. The nice Natalia Vodianova and of course the queen of fashion shows- Kate Moss.
Girl: You work all over the World. Which language do you speak?
Anna: When I went to Japan, I used Polish. It was the reason to learn English. I also started to learn Italian.
Girl: How is your day like?
Anna: I have to be in my agency at 9:00 am. Then I have castings. For all the time. After that I have sme time for relax: swimming pool, gym. And of course a book before going to bed.
Girl: Can you betray us how much do you earn?
Anna: (laughter) Hey, you’re too curious! Rates are really different. For example…. they give you clothes in N.Y, but I won’t come back from Milan to Poland by a new car.
Girl: What can you say to girls who want to be models?
Anna: Read “Girl!â€. Send your pictures and visit my agency website: www.newagemodels.pl

- How old were you when you set off on the world tour from your hometown Sierpc, small place en route from Warsaw to Torun?
Fifteen. That time was the first time in my life when I was going abroad, for the first time when I was flying by plane in my life, and at glance lonely, in addition to Japan for nearly two months. I don’t know who was more terrified – me, or my parents. My Mam couldn’t go with me those days. Every day she’s vice-headmaster in the Complex of Vocational Schools, she cares for 1800 pupils. Afterwards, a few times she went abroad with me, for example to Milan. I like to travel with my Mam, because it’s easier, more cheerfully and more safely.

- Did you earn your own, first money that time?
I signed my first contract in my life. But because I was under-age, my parents cared about my finances. Nowadays I’m collecting money for my own flat in Warsaw and for my future studies.
- For the present, you are not moving out from Sierpc, yet?
Just recently we had moved out from block of flats to our own bungalow with a small garden. We are finishing it off just now and adding an extra floor.

- Do you have share in it?
I’m giving my parents financial backing and I’m very glad that I’ve got this chance.
- Who do you take after?
I’ve got my green eyes and beauty after my mam, but figure and long legs after my dad. There is a fair difference in height between my parents. It’s about 25 centimeters. My resemblance to my mam can be seen at all photos. During last Fashion Week in New York, after Louis Vuitton show a lot of collective pictures were taken, when we sat down anywhere to chat together. Our collective photos have already appeared on the Internet.

- At your website www.annajagodzinska.com.
I swear, I have nothing in common with that. Some unknown admirer from Italy has created and has been updating it. I know nothing about him, though it’s pleasant he takes the trouble.
- Girls from the great magazine covers are often genuine works of art. You’ve been already at French and American magazine covers.
Certainly very much depends of the photographer and beautician, however I even do have natural color of my hairs. I wear contact lenses in my eyes, but colorless, nails are my own as well. In Poland they used to say “medium blonde” about my hair color, but just recently I have learnt that my hairs have strawberry tint. I won’t let them dye, because I know I would irretrievably lose my natural “balleyage” with many tints, created by nature.

- How many and what kind of languages had you known when you set off on the world tour?
I had only German language in my school so before my first trip I took up a few private English lessons. The fact that I mastered this language I’m indebted to practice, that is trips and work.
Though I had to communicate with photographers, designers, and beauticians. I persevere in learning. I’ve got an idea to enroll for extra language course, just now after arrival to New York.
- While collecting “Model of the year 2005″ award you thanked your parents for the fact that
they let…
… my dreams come true. For the fact, that despite I was a child they let me go, trusted me, although they were terribly terrified. Others only repeated: “That girl is too young”.

- Mam Iza, Dad Janusz. Do you call your parents by their first names?
No, never. I have always known what I can allow myself and what not. I knew the limits and limitations. Mam clearly gave me to understand when I exceeded any limits. When I accosted somebody, shouted or when I was just simply too noisy. Certainly It wasn’t’ trendy “without stress†upbringing what I’m really glad about.
- How do you cope with education if you travel without a break?
I’ve been always a good schoolgirl but it’s fact I always used to postpone everything for the last day, for the last moment. Nowadays I have individual course of teaching, every semester I take exams and pass subjects. When I come I contact with the teachers, get next portion of material to acquire. This school year I’m passing the high school exam. I’m afraid because it’s so-called “new high school exam” and my absence in school just only intensifies this stress. However I hope for the best. I must.

- Somebody has seen you, when somewhere abroad you were reading summary of course lectures with polish poetry, between shows.
That was during Fashion Week in Milan, because at that time I had to master romantic poetry period. I’ve got two sets of textbooks and readings so that I don’t have to carry books both ways. During castings, no matter where, in Florida, Miami or Paris, any studying isn’t possible because model must available all the time. However during show days, even then when there is a lot of shows it’s possible to study and read readings, because there are downtimes.

- What poetry do you like the most?
Kochanowski, Szymborska, Pawlikowska-Jasnorzewska.
- Your mam disclosed me that you wrote poems once.
Some of the best, which were sent for the contest came out in the book with poems written by pupils from high school from our region.

- While you are abroad for so long, do you miss your mam, home?
When I’m not terribly tired or overwhelmed by impressions, I miss and think about return. I make plans. But why do we have telephones, computer, messenger, e-mails. Sometimes I chat through Gadu-Gadu with my mam for so long, that next day we are both sleepy. In summertime my brother Lukasz popped in to New York. He’s seven years older than me, he’s just graduated from economy, he trains handball. We are very similar, of course, besides that he isn’t attracted with modeling.
Two years ago I bought Christmas gift for my mam, Hector – little Yorkshire terrier and since that time he’s dominated all our conversations. It’s talking point number one! In addition he requires constant interest and he’s so jealous that he disturbs us when we talk on the phone. One unguarded moment and he can beat everything by jealousy.

- Nearest plans?
I’m going to New York on nearest Sunday, I’m coming back before Christmas, because nowhere Christmas means so much for me like in Poland. Just after New Year’s Eve, according to contract, I’m coming back to USA.
With brother <3

2-gether 4-ever: Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana
Never known as low-key hosts, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana pulled out all the stops for their brand’s 20th-anniversary celebration during Milan fashion week. Things started with a runway show nearly 100 looks long and ended with a no-expense-spared bash featuring the Lido de Paris dancing girls and a performance by Donna Summer. Though D and G’s partnership is now purely professional, their shared love for maximalism, leopard print, and divas endures.

Most Entrepreneurial: Stella McCartney for H&M
Not since that other British invasion have masses of women swooned like they did when Stella McCartney’s collection for H&M arrived at the chain’s New York City stores. Priced to move, the coveted pieces sold out within hours of their release, causing headline-making near riots. Stella’s peers and former protégés may be the critical darlings now, but the new mom is laughing all the way to the bank.

The new Kate Moss? Gemma – the girl of the moment
The doll type beauty has achieved giddy success. The guest star of Austarlian Vogue. Behind the glitz and the glamour, there’s laughter, tears and chronic fatigue. Gemma invites you front row, backstage and behind the scenes.

Most “Overexposed”: Tom Ford
For a designer who quit the runway early last year, Tom Ford sure showed up a lot in 2005. The former creative director at Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent launched a sunglasses collection, sexed up Estée Lauder, took a high-profile guest editor gig for Vanity Fair’s Hollywood issue, and announced plans for a menswear line. But the place we saw the most of Ford was the November issue of W, where he appeared in a 19-page photo spread. Nude.

Class Jock: Madonna
While critics debate whether Madonna has regained her musical mojo with November’s Confessions on a Dance Floor, we can emphatically report that Madge retains firm control of her abs and thighs and biceps. Dusting herself off after a midsummer equestrian accident, the 47-year-old yoga enthusiast did some serious strutting in the “Hung Up” video, making Gen Y’s pop starlets look like the soft, pampered brats they are.

Comeback Kid: Kate Moss
It was the fastest turnaround since Steve Jobs rescued Apple. Yes, Kate Moss lost a slew of lucrative contracts after her drug scandal. But since coming out of an Arizona rehab clinic, she’s bagged new campaigns with Longchamp and Stella McCartney, not to mention landed on the covers of Vanity Fair and Paris Vogue. The words printed on Alexander McQueen’s T-shirt when he took a bow at his October show clearly spoke for the whole fashion community: “We love you Kate.”

Hypnotic beauty of year: Daria Werbowy
Daria exclusively only for Lancome. Fashion week without Canadian beauty broke many people hearts, bu hopefully we will see Daria in Haute Couture week From January 2006, 23rd to 25th.

Most Theatrical: John Galliano
No contest here, of course. Fashion’s favorite impresario turned July’s Dior Haute Couture presentation into one for the history books. To mark Christian Dior’s 100th birthday, the showman conjured the spirits of a young Master Dior and his maman, who entered a magical mist-laden landscape in a horse-drawn Edwardian carriage. By contrast, Galliano’s spring ‘06 show for his own label, a stirring procession of gigolos, tattooed sailors, and bearded transvestites, was a mere divertissement.

Exchange Student: Stefano Pilati
Promoted from within to succeed Tom Ford as Yves Saint Laurent creative director, Stefano Pilati wasted no time putting his own stamp on YSL and the fashion world at large. The tulip skirts and ruffles he showed in his spring 2005 collection became staples at many houses for fall—by which time Pilati was emphasizing restraint, with ecclesiastical touches like choirboy collars and strict tailoring. “I’ve made a start, yes,” Pilati told Vogue, “but there is still more to do.”
